Originally conceived of as a port for the city of Tampa in the early 1900’s, this island community was named Seddon Island after the man who envisioned the area’s potential. The land was purchased in 1979 and slowly evolved from a commercial port to luxury residences over the past decades with first phase development beginning in 1985 and continuing to this day. With time and determination, this island has grown to include commercial retail and office space as well as homes. Harbour Island’s nearly 800 inhabitants reside in a variety of just over 1,400 beautiful residences including condominiums, townhomes and single family homes varying from typical to opulent. Now a highly desirable area for young professionals and families alike, Harbour Island affords quick access to downtown, Tampa’s entertainment and nightlife centers, MacDill AFB, I-275 and Tampa International Airport.
